How does one go about selecting what type of gear to buy after they get off student status? I am currently 1/3 of the way through a student program (6 jumps down, 12 to go). I have been jumping an Icarius Safire 230 main (1.1 loading) and am unsure what kind of container it is in. How does this compare to other canopies? How do the different containers compare? Is there such a thing as a place we people can test-drive gear?

Thanks

Hey Anon!

The best person to help you along with gear choices would be your instructor('s). But keep in mind that many are 'sponsored' by manufacturers and would therefore be obligated to steer you towards one brand over another. Warm Blue Ones! -Rob
