I am looking for info on the PISA Heatwave. I am interested in the durability, quality, packing, flare, etc. It's tough to beat the price. There's just this little voice (one of the many) in my head that keeps whispering: ' You get what you pay for'. If you jump a Heatwave, let me know what you think of it. Thanks,

Look where it is made Africa, the cost of labor there is probably around $3 a day if that? So in turn the prices are allot lower. I have a Hornet and Tempo and the quality is just as good as PD and the others if not better.

A lot of experienced jumpers at Skydive Monroe (GA) have them, and we all love them. They're too new to say much about durability (though mine seems none the worse for wear after a solo dip in the Gulf of Mexico last Memorial Day). Quality is good; packing is easy due to a less-slippery-than-usual zero-p fabric and color-coded line-attach tapes. Flare is great from either a hook or straight-in approach, and it even handles well in deep brakes, though it's no accuracy canopy, of course. In short, if I needed to replace mine I'd order another one exactly like it.
Having said all that, it's still a zero-p elliptical, so all the usual warnings apply.

I have to agree with Gary. I'm very pleased with mine. over 150 jumps on it. I'd buy another no questions asked. I'm 210 in gear jumping a 150. I've had 2 rouge openings. I believe that was due to letting the slider slide down the lines to far when packing.
