The Matrix was stirringly close to reality. The movie parted from reality on two major points. #1) There's no reason for a person in 'the real world' to pass when their computer generated alter ego does. In reality when we pass from this 'matrix' our 'real world' selves will still exist. #2)In the real world we're not being held captive or used as a battery. In the 'real world' we're using this computer generated dream state as a pass time while we travel through space in the universe above this.
