ELECTION COMMITTEE - JOHN DeSANTIS

For those of you that are under the impression that John DeSantis had something to do with reducing the number of National Director candidates, as per the current rules, by eliminating Billy Richards and Mike Mullins, please read: As Chairman of the Nominations and Elections Committee, and as a potential candidiate for National Director, John was bound to be temporarily removed as chairman of the committee. The decision of who to remove was made by the remaining members. Knowing John as I do, I know that he kept his mouth shut and let the chips fall where they did. If not Billy and Mike, it would have, out of necessity, been two others.

As for other questions (Kevin), my statement regarding John is based on 3-decades of skydiving with this man. To list the reasons I feel he is one of the best directors ever, and should be elected National Director, would take many pages and, I'm sure, there would still not be enough said about his good character. Our statement says what we want to say.

Regarding ANY conflict of interest perceptions: John simply doesn't let personal feelings distract from the duty he accepts as a director. He has, and will always do what is right for the membership.

By the way, we are undertaking this campaign on our own initiative. As I have said before, John isn't the kind of guy who 'blows his own horn.' That's why we feel you need to know about him - and NOT vote for those you don't know.
