I'm looking at getting an Infinity container for my first rig. Any one have any opinions good or bad on them? Are they comfortable? Any safety issues?

Thanx, TY

Are you looking at a brand new one or a used one? There have been several tweeks to the pattern since the original (just like most modern rigs). I have a new one and absolutely love it. I can't imagine a more comfortable fit, the moving parts on the system (flaps & risers) are well secured, the reserve system is nice (easy to pack, great PC launch), I think it looks good, and the price is right. Additionally, Kelly, the manufacturer, seems really dedicated to making sure the owners of his rigs are happy with them.

Infinity is a very good container system. I have worked with the owner, Kelly Farrington at the Relative Workshop, and know from personal experince, that he can design and build containers with the best in the industry. As a rigger, I have packed several of the new Infinity systems. The are very rigger friendly. The main riser cover assembly protects the risers and does not have the same problems as the Vectors i have worked on. You can't go wrong with this system.

I like my Infinity alot. It was built in 1995, the only thing I don't like about it is the very short tuck tabs. It is a Rigger friendly rig to pack.

That sounds like the old flavor. Kelly's updates to the rig design have taken care of that.

I think an Infinity container is an excellent choice! I've been jumping an older version Infinity (purchased used) for about 4 years... Kelly takes a great deal of pride in his manufacturing process. I've also heard that his newest design is even more comfortable the older versions....
