Have you ever heard of Miles Daisher? He is one of those guys that the regular adrenaline rush of just jumping out of a plane, or kayaking on white waters just doesn’t give him enough of a rush so he uses creativity to combine super extreme sports and the result is interesting things like the hybrid extreme sport of skyaking.

So he puts himself in a plastic tube and jumps out of an airplane into beautiful lake Tahoe

Here are a couple of other videos of the man and the antics Notice the landing ! Whoopee

If you are still alive you can’t forget the first time that you decided to go for it and go skydiving. That first intense experience that no matter how much you played it in your mind took you completely by surprise and took your breath away.

There is the first tandem jump, and then if you decide to take a course the first solo jump and many other first after that.

I enjoyed following the posts on AFF Student Skydiver that show the journey of another person to the license and I enjoy reading the stories of others.

There is nothing like that jump weather it is your first or your 10,000 time.

Are You Using GPS?

When skydiving it can be helpful to have a GPS to show you important places, such as danger zone or to direct you to the desired places. Still it is important that one remembers that the GPS alone can’t replace your discretion, if the whether is too cloudy, or if you think it would be a problem to sky dive a certain area then don’t. GPS can be a great tool with the moving maps that they provide but they can fail you for technical reasons such as batteries or other mechanical problems. As always it is important to remember safety rules and when choosing a GPS chose one that is suitable for skydiving and was recommended too you by someone you trust.
