OK shoot.
stand.
Now this will probably come as a *shocker* to most of you ,and you as well Mr. Perry, as you know I don't like to make waves but, I have no problem voicing my opinions to a DZO or manager when safety is being compromised. Not that I have ever witnessed the DZOs or staff where I jump violating the BSRs but some safety issues do arise which are not addressed by the BSRs. The latest item I spoke to the DZO about was the pilot calling ' door' while still in a steep climb . In this case there were multiple groups. Some were exiting the aircraft at 4,000' while others were going to 14,000'. The pilot did level the plane out before the 4000'exit, but what if a loose pilot chute had found the airstream while the door was open and tail was low? I explained to the DZO my concern and apparently he spoke to the pilot as this scenario has not since been repeated.
There have been a number of other safety concerns not addressed by the BSRs which I've noticed at many different DZs . I've never been shy about identifying them to whoever was incharge and the person incharge has never been slow to remedy the situation.
Of Course, I only do business with those I believe to be ethical. I avoid DZ/0s which I believe to have no firm moral standards.

I question (really question, not argue you are wrong) if that is a significant issue. The aircraft's attitude with the ground has no bearing on the issue you raise. The issue instead will be the aircraft's attitude with the relative airstream. My gut instinct is that for most turbine aircraft, the pitch to relative air is pretty small unless the pilot really has the aircraft hanging on the prop. Further the degree of risk will vary from one aircraft type to another. Anybody out there know the facts here?
