Yikes! Imagine what that's going to do to frequent travelers? Major hold ups at security, missed flights, lawsuits for invasion of privacy (security said you were carrying cocaine, and you lost your job, despite the fact that the coke traces were on the money you had in your possession). Hell, I guess I'm gonna have to *check* my pot now.

This sort of technology has been around for ages. Certain airlines have been routinely scanning money and credit cards of employees for traces of drugs. The scary part of this story is how they are imposing it upon the public, without any mention of the BIG BROTHER is watching concept. If they can get it to check for chemicals, they can get it to check for ANYTHING. That information would then be accessible to the boys over at ECHELON (oops, just got me off a flagged word!). Combine that with being able to know where you went, at what time, what you brought and how much you paid for it off your ATM and credit cards and the use of the technology really does become scary.

The irony is that the only people outside of terrorists with explosives that they will catch, is the minority of drug traffickers that try and get it through a international border strapped to their body or inside a bag and it is installed by the biggest importer of drugs into the good old US of A, the government. That Bush family (oops, another flagged word) sure does have a lot to answer for! Anyways, there's my bitch for now....it's good to have the server working again, so I can come back and play some more.
