I saw that someone was asking for feedback on SEMO the other day, so...here goes. I'm not a skydiver (may be someday), but my wife is going to do a tandem at SEMO so I wanted to check out the facility and the attitude, etc. I stopped by today and felt totally welcome with people willing to answer my ignorant (remember, ignorance is curable while stupidity isn't) questions. The, 'hot ,' King Air was there today so we watched it get to altitude with amazing speed!! I didn't see any overabundance of arrogance or testosterone (of course I'm afflicted with testosterone, so I may be biased). The DZ is about three and a half miles from I-57 in, obviously, Southeast Missouri, in flat, rich land. It's right by a cornfield and all looked good to me. We'll be heading back for my wife to do her first exit from a perfectly good airplane!!
