Sounds like Mr. USPA has resurrected again in a smarty pans form. Why is that, that are elders have to suffer so much from all this newbies with out respect? Snuffy, just ignore it, it'll go away. Actually, no. Please keep us happy with your comments on this one.

That's pretty funny Jerry. I think you have to much time on your hands though.

No, no, no-

On Tue, 26 Sep 2000 08:47:38 GMT, The Flying Goulash

Not the Mister USPA dingleberry, I assure you but maybe I'm protesting too much?

No, what the deal is, is that this has nothing to do with lack of respect or anything imbecile like that. It has everything to do with making, demonstrating, and playing with the concept of using a stupid accent to set one's own self up as some sort of cartoon-messiah.

It's an experiment. Sure, the petri dish may have to get washed at some point but the culture never goes away.

I could just blather expletives but that would be disrepectful and, besides, it wouldn't be from the heart. If it makes you feel any better, I actually respect Mister Snuffy in that at least he posts worthwhile stuff once in a great while and, evidently, he has skydived a fairish amount so he probably knows what he's talking about when he gets around to uttering something worthwhile.

As far as ignoring ointment flies such as myself and wishful thinking along those lines...well, I'm not bored yet and I won't post on the weekends unless we're weathered out because...well, I know I won't be by the computer-rather be jumping.

If it will make you relax some more I can shuffle about, knuckle my brow, and utter some bleating noises but that would be dehumanizing and just plain silly.

Here's a concept: (with apologies to the folks over at Python)

Tourist: Good afternoon. Shephrd: Eh, 'tis that. Tourist: You here on holiday? Shephrd: Nope, I live 'ere. Tourist: Oh, good for you. Uh...those ARE sheep aren't they? Shephrd: Yeh. Tourist: Hmm, thought they were. Only, what are they doing up in the trees? Shephrd: A fair question and one that in recent weeks 'as been much on my mind. It's my considered opinion that they're nestin'. Tourist: Nesting? Shephrd: Aye. Tourist: Like birds? Shephrd: Exactly. It's my belief that these sheep are laborin' under the misapprehension that they're birds. Observe their be'avior. Take for a start the sheeps' tendency to 'op about the field on their 'ind legs. Now witness their attmpts to fly from tree to tree. Notice that they do not so much fly as...plummet.

<Baaa baaa... flap flap flap ... whoosh ... thud.>

Tourist: Yes, but why do they think they're birds? Shephrd: Another fair question. One thing is for sure, the sheep is not a creature of the air. They have enormous difficulty in the comparatively simple act of perchin'.

<Baaa baaa... flap flap flap ... whoosh ... thud.>

Trouble is, sheep are very dim. Once they get an idea in their 'eads, there's no shiftin' it. Tourist: But where did they get the idea? Shephrd: From Snuffy. He's that most dangerous of creatures, a clever sheep. 'e's realized that a sheep's life consists of standin' around for a few months and then bein' eaten. And that's a depressing prospect for an ambitious sheep. Tourist: Well why don't just remove Snuffy? Shephrd: Because of the enormous commercial possibilities if 'e succeeds.

Just consider me the sobering ACME Yin to Mister Coyote's raging Yang.
