Another national sport organization that I belong to has a BOD elected by the membership. That organization has an independent firm of auditors to count the ballots, and the ballots are mailed direct to the auditors, thus minimizing appearance of impropriety.

What are the mechanics of vote counting for the USPA elections? I notice that ballots have to be mailed to USPA HQ.

As I understand it, the votes are counted at USPA HQ by Chris Needels & Larry Bagley.

I am not casting any doubt on the integrity of either of these two, but it would be a much better system to have the ballots counted by an independent auditor.

Most organizations have provisions for the independent auditor, usually an accounting firm.
